Exports of Turkish agricultural products:

Despite the region’s political and economic conditions in the past few years, Turkey’s exports of agricultural products reached more than 200 countries in 2022. Moreover, it exported 1,980 agricultural products, with a revenue of 20 billion dollars.

Furthermore, Turkey ranks first in the world in the production and export of some agricultural products, such as hazelnuts, as it produces about 69% of the global production, at 1.1 million tons. It also produces 26% of the total global production of cherries, at 2.5 million tons, in addition to figs and apricots.

Besides, Turkey ranks second in the production of watermelons, melons, chickpeas and cucumbers.

It also ranks third in the production and export of apples and tangerines. And it ranks fourth in the export of pistachios, walnuts, chestnuts and lentils.

In addition, Turkey ranks first in the world in the export of wheat flour.. Second in the export of pasta.. Fourth in the production and export of vegetables, and fifth in the production and export of fruits.

The value of Turkish exports of agricultural products in the first months of this year reached about 13.5 billion dollars, setting a record in Turkey’s history, registering a growth of 22%. Thus, agricultural exports constitute 13% of the total Turkish exports.
