After the birth of the child, a report of his birth will be given containing all the important data of the newborn, which is the day of his birth, the hour of his birth and the gender of the child, the name of the hospital in which he was born, the name of the mother, the name of the father and some other additional information.
Then, the parent goes to the Souls Department, bringing with him the official hospital report to apply a request to register the newborn. Through some procedures, the parent will obtain the birth certificate.
The newborn is granted the Turkish identity directly, whether both parents hold Turkish citizenship or one of them.
It is worth noting that according to the Turkish Family law, parents should register a birth of their child within 30 days from the date of the birth.
