Then, the parent goes to the Souls Department, bringing with him the official hospital report to apply a request to register the newborn. Through some procedures, the parent will obtain the birth certificate.

The newborn is granted the Turkish identity directly, whether both parents hold Turkish citizenship or one of them.

It is worth noting that according to the Turkish Family law, parents should register a birth of their child within 30 days from the date of the birth.
